#4 – Alicante

Alicante opened in downtown Palm Springs in early 2013, serving authentic Spanish dishes and tapas on South Palm Canyon Drive. Your tapas spread or Spanish-inspired entree is best enjoyed with a glass of wine from Alicante’s discerning wine menu, which features reds and whites from Spain, France, Italy, Argentina and California. Owner Mindy Reed, a self-professed wino, carefully curates the wine menu, which is offered at $6, $8 and $10 price points per glass. During the daily happy hour, you’ll find a handful of wines like prosecco, pinot grigio and cabernet sauvignon on special for $5 a glass at the bar. The house-made sangria is always a palette pleaser. ((760) 325-9464)
